The simple truth of the matter is that you will be hard pressed to find something better than ACDSee. This is a properly good tool for working with images. It puts wonderful functionality at your disposal for viewing, managing and editing images. Go get ACDSee and you’ll see that it will not disappoint you.

The recommended hardware requirements for running ACDSee are: Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processor, 1GB or RAM memory, 1GB of free disk space, high color display adapter at 1280 x 1024 resolution, CD or DVD burner (if you want to create CDs and DVDs).
The software requirements for running ACDSee are: Windows XP or newer, Internet Explorer 7 or newer, DirectX 9.0c, Ghostscript 8.0 for PDF support, Windows Media Player 9.0 or newer.

A setup wizard will install ACDSee on your PC. That’s not all you have to do to start using ACDSee. You will also have to log in using your acdID account. If you have one, you can easily log in; if you don’t have an account, you can quickly create one.

By default, ACDSee always displays a Quick Start Guide at startup.
The guide presents the application’s 4 modes: Manage (import, browser, organize your photos), View (view a variety of image types), Edit (adjust or fix any photo you want), 365 (upload images to ACDSee 365).
The guide also presents the application’s functions: browser, organize, find, publish, preview, file list or map pane, view properties, resize, convert, rename, remove red-eye, apply filters, apply brush-on effects, create online albums, and more.

Because all this information is very nicely presented to you, and because ACDSee has a very user friendly interface, you won’t have any problems accessing all the wonderful functionality this application has to offer. Please note that you can enjoy this functionality for free for a limited period of time – 15 days.

View a variety of image formats, efficiently manage your collection of images, nicely edit the images in your collection. You can do all these with ACDSee.

Pros

The system requirements for running ACDSee aren’t very high. Choose between a complete and a custom installation. Easily create an acdID account. Use the application to view, manage, and edit photos.

Cons

15-day trial.
